Women’s Soccer Rounds Out Recruiting Class

The Women’s Soccer team and Coach Jake Warren have closed the 2014 recruiting class with four summer commitments. The additions to the program bring Coach Warren’s first recruiting class to a total of 11 student-athletes. The final four signees are as follows:

Tamar Hosan

Hometown: Maloney Gardens, D’Abadie, Trinidad and Tobago

High School: St. Augustine Secondary School

 Tamar Hosan

Experience: 2008 Intercol Champions, 2009 Big Four Finalist

Club Experience: St. Augustine FC- 2nd Place in Trinidad & Tobago Women’s League 2014 (Premier Division)

Awards: 2007 Most Disciplined, 2008 Most Improved, 2010 MVP, and 2010 Coach’s Player Award

Position: Right Wing/Midfielder

Major: Biology

Parents: Lystra and Gerald Hosam

Emily Roedding

Hometown: Fort Myers, FL

High School: Classical Christian Academy

Experience: Two years varisty at Cypress Lake High School

Position: Midfield

Major: Elementary Education

Parents: Doug and Kim Roedding

Jordan VanHorn

Hometown: Houston, Texas

 Jordan Van Horn

Experience: Two year starter for the HCYA Hurricanes Varsity Girls’ team

Has played in various soccer clubs throughout Los Angeles and Houston for 9 years

Awards: Coach’s Leadership Award

Captain of the 2013 National Championship team
Choose to attend TFC in spite of several scholarship offers

Awards: MVP 2013 National Championship 1st place
MVP 2014 National Championship game 2nd place

Position: Forward

Major: Undecided

Coach Warren said of these future Eagles, “We are very excited about the addition of these four young players. They each bring a different skill set and background of playing experience. They will greatly add to the depth and quality of our program. I expect all of them to be major contributors for us this upcoming season.”
