The men’s soccer program at Toccoa Falls College has announced the signing of midfielder Wade Kelley. Hailing from Starr-Iva, South Carolina, Kelley will join the program in August, and help to replace TFC’s 6 departed seniors from the 2013 squad.
Wade played his high school soccer at Crescent High School, where he set the school record for assists in a season his junior year (14). As a senior, Kelley moved to forward and led his team to the state playoffs with 16 goals and added 6 assists. In addition to being the team captain, he was named to the All-Region team in his final prep season. At CHS, Kelley played for Coach Blaise Bourgeois. Additionally, Wade has played for the Clemson-Anderson Soccer Alliance under Jeff Hubbard.
Toccoa Falls coach Rob Worsley said of Kelley, “I am excited about Wade coming to Toccoa Falls. He is skilled on the ball and will complement our style of play nicely. We’ll look to him for immediate playing time in the midfield this season.”
The son of Stephen and Andrea Kelley, Wade plans to major in Sports Management at Toccoa Falls. He is a member of NewSpring Church, where he was baptized in 2012 after receiving the Lord on December 23, 2011.
