Lauren Smith, Student Assistant for Advancement
Lauren has been working in the advancement office since August 2013. She attended Pebblebrook High
School, a performing arts magnet school – she was a vocal major and dance minor, and she was the captain of the softball team. She completed freshman year at Berry College in Rome, Georgia – she was a pitcher on the softball team and had three jobs: in the President’s office, as a sports announcer/scorekeeper, and on the grounds crew. Even though she enjoyed her time there, God was able to speak to her though an injury, finances, and other experiences which led her to hear about Toccoa Falls. She know almost immediately that TFC was where she was called to be and that she needed to trust in His divine plan, which she thanks Him for more every day. She is a junior early childhood education major and is married to TFC admissions counselor Donovan Smith.

She is from Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and while she misses her family and the cooler summers, she loves living at TFC because of the emphasis on community and character development. She has an affinity for anything arts-and-crafts, a passion for music and a love for reading. With her degree, Moriah would love to do crisis and trauma counseling, but she is willing to wait and see whatever the Lord has planned.
