Residence Life endeavors to maintain an environment that honors Christ, encourages spiritual growth, and is conducive to academic success. Students are encouraged to live on campus and become part of this environment.

Director of Housing and Residence Life

Emily Sprowls oversees student housing, residence hall programming and initiatives, new student orientation, student conduct and disciplinary procedures. Emily previously worked in the Office of Admissions at TFC for 5 years, and has served in her housing role with the Division of Student Affairs since August 2013. Emily also enjoys serving as an Online Adjunct Professor for TFC.

Emily holds a membership with the Association for Christians in Student Development (ACSD) and enjoys exploring topics pertaining to residence life strategies and student retention. Resident Directors

Thomas Floyd is the Resident Director of the Terraces. While a student at Southern Wesleyan University (SWU), Thomas played centerfield for the Warrior baseball team and received numerous awards. After graduation, Thomas served for two years as an Assistant Resident Director, FCA Chaplain, and Assistant Baseball Coach at SWU where he had a major part in successfully legitimizing the FCA program and Mentor program of SWU. Thomas has a heart for seeing college students grow closer to the Lord and greatly looks forward to being able to do ministry at Toccoa Falls College. Saylo Lor is the Resident Director of Forrest Hall. As a TFC student, Saylo served as a Resident Assistant for two years and Assistant Resident Director for one year. Saylo desires to build a Christ-centered community in Forrest Hall and to develop young men to be godly servant leaders. He enjoys fishing, hiking, grilling, volleyball, and spending time with family and friends. He met his wife, Lala, here at TFC and they were married in 2013. Katie Thorne is the Resident Director of Fant and LeTourneau Halls. While at TFC, she worked for the Teacher Education Department, and served as a Resident Assistant and Vice President for the Student Government Association. Katie desires to create a comfortable environment in the residence halls for the women to laugh, learn, and grow together as they transition into adulthood. Katie met her husband, Andrew, at TFC and they were married in 2015. They enjoy hanging out with students, playing all kinds of sports, watching good TV shows and making and eating delicious food.
