Public School Mentoring Glenda Bullard
706-886-2880 ext 2003
The goal of mentoring is to be a consistent support and guidance to the student and to coach the child in the game of life. Tutoring is not a requirement. Developing a positive relationship with the student and helping them overcome issues they encounter is what the mentoring relationship is all about. Volunteering 1 hour, 1 day a week for the remainder of a school year to a particular child is what is required. The time and day of service depends on the school and can be very flexible- especially in the elementary schools. Must have your own transportation and be able to visit during school hours.
