Dr. Clements joined the Toccoa Falls College faculty in 1999. Before coming to TFC, he was a teaching assistant at North Carolina State University and also completed his dissertation research there. He was named Dean of the TFC School of Arts and Sciences in 2009.

He was a member of the North Carolina Entomological Society, Entomological Society of America, and the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), and is currently a member of the Gamma Sigma Delta Agricultural Honors Society. He served as a GACE Middle Grades Science Content Advisory Committee Member from 2005-2006. Dr. Clements was invited to attend the NCSU College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Graduate Student Professional Development Workshop (1998), U.S./Japan Joint Pesticide Seminar (1997), and NCSU Preparing the Professoriate Program (1995-1996). He has been published in many science journals and publications and has presented all over the United States and Chile.
