TFC is offering one free course to anyone who has never been enrolled at TFC for either credit or audit. The course is being taught by Dr. Mike Severe.

Biographical information:
Ph.D. Education from Trinity international University.
M.A. in Christian Formation and Ministry from Wheaton College Graduate School. B.S. from Multnomah University in Bible, Theology and Youth Ministry.

Dr. Mike teaches Christian education at Toccoa Falls College.
He has published articles and research in the Journal of Youth Ministry, Journal of Christian Education, Youth Worker Journal and The Common Ground Journal. Mike spent 7 years in corporate McDonald’s as a store manager where he oversaw 120 employees and a multimillion dollar revenue stream. Mike has also run multiple networks with up to 60 churches and studied and taught leadership and culture on four continents. He has been involved as a pastor in local church youth ministry for the last 12 years. Mike has also taught at North Park Seminary, Trinity International University, Western Seminary and Nairobi Evangelical Graduate School. Mike resides in Toccoa with his wonderful wife Leeann and Daughter Hope.

The course we are offering this fall is LIM 423 Change, Conflict, & Organizational Culture in Ministry, (3 hours, normally offered days, fall semester). This course will provide the theoretical and practical framework for understanding the significance of organizational culture and its impact on Christian education and disciple-making ministries. The material will lead to a comprehensive analysis of change and conflict in Christian organizations. Special attention will be given to the biblical and theological issues related to change and conflict in Christian organizations. The class will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2 to 3:15 pm Fall 2010. The first day of class is Tuesday August 24, 2010.
