Lady Eagles Lose to Emmanuel College (9/7/11)
The Toccoa Falls College women’s volleyball team lost in four games to Emmanuel College by the scores of 18-25, 25-21, 20-25, and 11-25. Bethany Slate led the Lady Eagles with 13 kills and 30 digs. Mary Willis had 25 assists and 7 digs, Kayla Peters had 8 kills, and Caroline Johnson had 8 digs. The Lady Eagles will participate in the South Region North/South Shootout this weekend. The Lady Eagles will be playing at home and will play on Friday at 3:00 against Florida Christian College and then at 7:00 against defending NCCAA National Champion Clearwater Christian College. On Saturday the Lady Eagles will play Trinity College of Florida at 1:30 and Crown College at 3:30.
Lady Eagles Win Two at Tri-match (9/5/11)
The Toccoa Falls College women’s volleyball team defeated Davidson Community College and Catawba Valley Community College in a tri-match this past Saturday. In the first match, the Lady Eagles defeated DCC by the scores of 21-25, 25-25, 25-22, and 25-24. Bethany Slate had 17 kills and 31 digs, Mary Willis had 36 assists 6 kills and 5 digs, Kayla Peters had 11 kills, and Caroline Johnson had 14 digs. In the second match, the Lady Eagles went five games with CVCC winning by the scores of 17-25, 25-23, 22-25, 25-20, and 15-13. Slate again led the Lady Eagles with 17 kills and 27 digs, Willis had 35 assists, Peters had 11 kills, and Johnson 13 digs. The Lady Eagles travel to Emmanuel College on Tuesday September 6 at 7:00 for their next match.
Lady Eagles Fall to Piedmont College (9/2/11)
The Toccoa Falls College women’s volleyball team lost to NCAA Div. III opponent Piedmont College last night in three straight games. The scores for the games were 20-15, 19-25, and 18-25. Bethany Slate had 13 kills and 22 digs, Mary Willis had 23 assists and 6 digs, Kayla Peters had 6 kills, Caroline Johnson had 5 kills and 7 digs, and Rachel Morris had 8 digs. The Lady Eagles will travel to Hickory, NC on Saturday to compete in a tri-match against Davidson Community College and Catawba Valley Community College.

The Toccoa Falls College women’s volleyball team lost their opening match of the season at home in a close contest with Johnson University. Bethany Slate and Mary Willis Named to NCCAA All-American Teams (11/11)
The Toccoa Falls College women’s volleyball team placed two players on NCCAA All American teams this week. Bethany Slate was named NCCAA First Team All American and Mary Willis was named NCCAA Second Team All American. Congratulations to these two outstanding volleyball players!
Lady Eagles Make it to South Region Champioship Game (10/30)
The Toccoa Falls College women’s volleyball team did extremely well at the NCCAA South Region tournament making it all the way to the championship game before losing to Clearwater Christian College in three games. In order to get to the championship the Lady Eagles defeated Atlanta Christian College in three games, Trinity College of Florida in five games, and Florida Christian College in four games. The Lady Eagles placed two players on Second Team All Region: Allison Gibson and Mary Willis. Bethany Slate was placed on First Team All Region. The Lady Eagles will now wait and see if they receive an at-large bid to the NCCAA National Tournament as they finished the season with a 26-10 record. Congratulations Lady Eagles!
Lady Eagles Win Two of Three Matches (10/25)
The Toccoa Falls College women’s volleyball team had its seven game win streak come to an end this past Thursday when they lost to Southern Wesleyan University in three straight games by the scores of 22-25, 15-25, and 8-25. The Lady Eagles then traveled to Catawba Valley Community College on Saturday and started a new streak by defeating them in four games by the scores of 25-23, 22-25, 25-21, and 26-24. They also defeated Lenoir Community College the same day in three straight games by the scores of 25-15, 25-18, and 25-15. Bethany Slate led the Lady Eagles for the two wins with 33 kills and 60 digs. Allison Gibson had 24 kills, Caroline Johnson 16 kills and 28 digs, Kayln Roedding 41 digs, Tiffany Poole 32 digs, Courtney Marker 31 digs, and Mary Willis 75 assists. The Lady Eagles will close out the regular season when they host Spelman College on Tuesday October 26 at 7:00 p.m.
Bethany Slate Named NCCAA Student Athlete of the Week (10/21)
Bethany Slate, sophomore outside/middle hitter from Toccoa Falls College (GA) had 16 kills; 4 solo blocks and 3 block assists; 13/15 in serves with 4 aces in serves and had 30 digs on Wednesday. On Friday, she had 20 kills; 1 solo block and 3 block assists; 11/12 in serves with 2 aces and had 27 digs. On Saturday, she had 13 kills; 1 solo block; 16/18 with 3 aces in serves and had 20 digs. For the week: In 11 sets, Bethany had a total of 49 kills with an average of 4.5 kills per set; 6 solo blocks and 5 block assists; 77 digs total with 7 digs per set. Congratulations Bethany!
Lady Eagles Win 7th Game in a Row (10/20)
The Toccoa Falls College women’s volleyball team beat Piedmont Baptist College last night in three games to extend their win streak to seven games in a row. The scores for the recent win were 25-21, 25-15, and 25-16. Bethany Slate led the Lady Eagles with 10 kills and 16 digs, Allison Gibson had 6 kills, Caroline Johnson 10 digs, and Mary Willis 24 assists. The Lady Eagles are now 20-8 on the season and 7-4 in the South Region. The Lady Eagles will try to extend their win streak when they travel to Southern Wesleyan University on Thursday October 21 for a 7:00 match.
Lady Eagles Extend Win Streak (10/19)
The Toccoa Falls College women’s volleyball team has now won six matches in a row with their last three wins coming against Salem College (3-1), Tennessee Temple University (3-0), and Johnson Bible College (3-1). The Lady Eagles will try to make it seven in a row today as they travel to Piedmont Baptist for a South Region contest. The Lady Eagles split the two previous matches with PBC.
Lady Eagles Defeat Spartanburg Methodist (10/14)
The Toccoa Falls College women’s volleyball team defeated Spartanburg Methodist College in four games last night by the scores of 25-21, 22-25, 25-18, and 30-28. Bethany Slate led the Lady Eagles with 16 kills and 30 digs. Elizabeth Hynson had 9 kills and Allison Gibson 8. Kaylyn Roedding had 19 digs, Tiffany Poole 14, and Caroline Johnson 13. Mary Willis had 38 assists. The Lady Eagles will host Salem College on Friday October 15 at 5:30 p.m.
Lady Eagles Win Three of Four Matches This Past Week (1o/11)
The Toccoa Falls College women’s volleyball team had wins over Atlanta Christian College, Lagrange College, and Rust College this past week. The only loss during the week for the Lady Eagles was against Oglethorpe University. The win against Atlanta Christian came in three straight games by the scores of 25-7, 25-5, and 25-7. The Lady Eagles then lost to Oglethorpe in three straight by the scores of 20-25, 14-25, and 22-25. They defeated Lagrange in five games by the scores of 19-25, 25-20, 18-25, 25-20, and 16-14. The Rust win was interesting as Rust College left the court after a yellow card was issued to the coach in the third game of the match (the Lady Eagles were up 6-1 at the time). The Lady Eagles get the win for the match and the scores were 24-26, 25-23, 25-1, and 25-0. The Lady Eagles host Spartanburg Methodist College on Wednesday October 13 at 7:00 p.m.
Lady Eagles Get Two Region Wins (10/4)
The Toccoa Falls College women’s volleyball team improved its South Region record this past weekend with wins over Florida Christian College and Piedmont Baptist College. The Lady Eagles defeated FCC in three straight games by the scores of 25-23, 25-17, and 25-11. Then they defeated PBC in four games by the scores of 21-25, 25-13, 25-16, and 25-19. Bethany Slate led the Lady Eagles for the two games with 26 kills and 52 digs. Caroline Johnson had 17 kills and 22 digs, Allison Gibson 19 kills, Kaylyn Roedding 25 digs, and Mary Willis 68 assists. The Lady Eagles are now 12-7 overall and 5-4 in the South Region. Their next match is Tuesday October 5 when they host South Region opponent Atlanta Christian College at 6:00 p.m.

The Toccoa Falls College women’s volleyball team got back on track last night as they beat South Region opponent Atlanta Christian College in three straight games by the scores of 25-8, 25-16, and 25-9. Bethany Slate had 8 kills, 10 digs, and 7 aces, Caroline Johnson 7 kills, Tiffany Poole 6 digs, and Mary Willis 25 assists. The Lady Eagles will host Southern Wesleyan University on Thursday September 30 at 7:00 p.m.
Lady Eagles Win Streak Comes to an End (9/27)
The Toccoa Falls College women’s volleyball team had its five game win streak stopped by South Region opponent Trinity College of Florida this past Friday night. Trinity won the match in three straight very close games by the scores of 23-25, 24-26, and 23-25. Then on Saturday Catawba Valley defeated the Lady Eagles in four games by the scores of 20-25, 24-26, 25-18, and 17-25. For the weekend, Bethany Slate had 31 kills and 45 digs, Allison Gibson had 17 kills, Kaylyn Roedding 25 digs, Caroline Johnson 24 digs, and Mary Willis 62 assists. The Lady Eagles will travel to Atlanta Christian Tuesday September 28 for a 6:00 South Region match.
Lady Eagles Win Streak Reaches Five in a Row (9/20)
The Toccoa Falls College women’s volleyball continued its win streak with victories over The Crown College and Agnes Scott College this past Saturday. The Lady Eagles defeated The Crown College in four games by the scores of 20-25, 25-22, 25-15, and 25-23. The Lady Eagles then swept Agnes Scott College in three games by the scores of 25-9, 25-16, and 25-22. For the two matches Bethany Slate led the team with 36 kills and 40 digs. Caroline Johnson had 18 kills and 28 digs, Allison Gibson had 19 kills, Kaylyn Roedding 25 digs, Courtney Marker 24 digs, and Mary Willis 77 assists. The Lady Eagles will try to avenge an earlier loss to Trinity College of Florida when they host them on Friday September 24 at 5:00 p.m.
Lady Eagles Win Third in a Row (9/17)
The Toccoa Falls College women’s volleyball team defeated NCAA Div. III opponent Spelman College last night in four games by the scores of 25-22, 25-15, 22-25, and 25-9. Bethany Slate led the team with 18 kills and 26 digs. Allison Gibson had 12 kills, Caroline Johnson 15 digs, Courtney Marker 13 digs, and Mary Willis added 37 assists. The Lady Eagles will try to extend their win streak on Saturday September 18 when the host The Crown College at 12:00 and Agnes Scott College at 4:00.
Lady Eagles Defeat Tennessee Wesleyan (9/16)
The Toccoa Falls College women’s volleyball team defeated Tennessee Wesleyan College in four games by the scores of 22-25, 28-26, 25-21, and 25-21. Bethany Slate led the Lady Eagles with 20 kills and 36 digs, Caroline Johnson had 8 kills and 20 digs, Tiffany Poole had 19 digs, and Mary Willis led the team with 36 assists. After traveling to Spelman today the Lady Eagles will host a tri-match on Saturday September 18 with The Crown College and Agnes Scott College. The Lady Eagles will be in action at 12:00 and 4:00.
Lady Eagles Go 2-3 at the North/South Shootout (9/13)
The Toccoa Falls College women’s volleyball team competed in five South Region contests over the weekend and came away with a record of 2-3. The Lady Eagles started out with a 3-1 victory over Florida Christian College. The scores of the match were 20-25, 25-20, 25-21, and 25-10. Next up for the Lady Eagles was the NCCAA Defending National Champion Clearwater Christian College. The Lady Eagles lost in three straight by the scores of 11-25, 15-25, and 17-25. The next match was against Piedmont Baptist where the Lady Eagles lost in five games by the scores of 17-25, 25-17, 25-27, 25-17, and 14-16. On Saturday morning Trinity College of Florida beat the Lady Eagles in three straight by the scores of 11-25, 19-25, and 17-25. The Lady Eagles got back on track in their final match against Atlanta Christian College winning in three straight games by the scores of 25-6, 25-8, and 25-9. The Lady Eagles next match will be at home on Wednesday September 15 at 6:30 against Tennessee Wesleyan College.
Lady Eagles Defeat Defending NJCAA Region X Champions (9/8)
The Toccoa Falls College women’s volleyball team defeated Spartanburg Methodist College in an exciting five set match. Spartanburg won the first game 25-23 and then the Lady Eagles won the next two games by the scores of 25-20, and 25-14. Spartanburg won the fourth game 25-23 and then the Lady Eagles won the deciding game 15-6. Bethany Slate led the Lady Eagles with 18 kills and 37 digs. Caroline Johnson had 13 kills and 17 digs, Kayla Peters had 11 kills, Tiffany Poole 20 digs, and Mary Willis 43 assists. The Lady Eagles are now 3-1 and travel to Florida for the weekend to compete in five South Region matches.
Lady Eagles Defeat Johnson Bible College (9/7)
The Toccoa Falls College women’s volleyball team won their second match in a row defeating Johnson Bible College in three straight games by the scores of 25-23, 25-22, and 25-21. Bethany Slate led the team with 12 kills and 21 digs. Mary Willis led the Lady Eagles in assists with 27. Caroline Johnson had 7 kills with Allison Gibson adding 5. Tiffany Poole had 15 digs, Kaylyn Roedding 13, and Courtney Marker 12. The Lady Eagles are now 2-1 on the season and travel to Spartanburg Methodist tonight for a 7:00 match.
Lady Eagles Defeat Lagrange College in Home Opener (9/3)
The Toccoa Falls College women’s volleyball team won their first home game of the season by defeating Lagrange College in three straight games by the scores of 25-8, 29-27, and 25-20. Bethany Slate led the Lady Eagles with 14 kills and 28 digs. Mary Willis was the assist leader with 32. Caroline Johnson and Allison Gibson had 11 kills each and Tiffany Poole added 22 digs. The next match for the Lady Eagles will be Monday September 6 at 5:00 p.m. against Johnson Bible College.

Bethany Slate led the Lady Eagles with 9 kills and 21 digs. Mary Willis was the team leader in assists with 17. Kayla Peters had 6 kills and Tiffany Poole had 12 digs.
Lady Eagles Will Open Season at Piedmont College (8/30)
The Toccoa Falls College women’s volleyball team will open their season this Wednesday September 1 at Piedmont College in Demorest, GA. Game time is set for 7:00. The Lady Eagles will then play at home the following night on Thursday September 2 at 6:00 against Lagrange College.
