Toccoa Falls College Welcomes New Staff and Faculty

Toccoa Falls, GA – Toccoa Falls College recently announced the addition of new staff and faculty. Mrs. Cathy Doan has been named Director of Retention Services. Cathy is originally from Waycross, Georgia, and graduated from Toccoa Falls College with a degree in Family Ministries. She is married to Nathan Doan who is a Resident Director at Toccoa Falls College. They have a 16 month old daughter. They have been working in Marion, Ohio, for the last five years at Cornerstone Alliance Church where Nate was a youth pastor.

Mr. Rob Worsley has been named Area Coordinator of the men’s dorms. Rob came to Toccoa Falls College in the early ‘90s after graduating from Dalat International School. While at Toccoa, he played soccer and then went on to coach the first women’s soccer team at TFC. In 1998 he married Lou Martin and moved to Minneapolis-St. Paul where he worked in sales and coached boys’ soccer. Rob and Lou have two girls and are looking forward to building relationships with the students on campus.

Dr. Dale Garside, Associate Professor of French and Spanish, is not a newcomer to Toccoa Falls College. Dr. Garside returns to Toccoa Falls from Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, Georgia. Dr. Garside earned his doctoral degree in French literature from the University of Cincinnati and has 31 years of teaching experience. He is married and has one daughter.

Mr. Chris Vena has been a long-time resident of Toccoa, Georgia. His father is a professor at the college, and Chris is also a graduate. Chris has been a resident director for the past few years and is completing a doctoral degree in Bible and society from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He received his master’s of arts degree in Christian thought from Bethel Theological Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota. He has also completed a summer program at Keble College of Oxford University in Oxford, England, studying the renaissance and reformation. Chris and his wife Christy have three children.
