Crosby Awarded for Teaching Excellence
Jarvis Crosby, Associate Professor of Cross-Cultural Studies, is the 2008 Vulcan Teaching Excellence Award recipient. The award was presented by Mrs. Katrina Graham, Vice President of the Georgia Foundation for Independent Colleges (GFIC), of which Toccoa Falls College is a member.
For the past 14 years, Vulcan Materials Company has sponsored, through GFIC, the Teaching Excellence Award of $1,000 to deserving faculty. Vulcan Materials has chosen to continue to provide a Teaching Excellence Award sponsorship at Toccoa Falls College.
The award honors a faculty member who has made a distinctive difference both in the classroom and in the campus community. Winners of this award have provided model teaching and campus leadership, as well as pioneering teaching methods and creative course development.
