On Saturday May 12, 2012, one hundred thirteen seniors received diplomas during commencement services at Toccoa Falls College. Dr. Barbara Bellefeuille, college provost, also conferred a Doctor of Letters to former Toccoa Falls College Board of Trustees Chairman Ray Kincaid.

This year’s commencement speaker was Dr. Jonathan Schaeffer, who is the senior pastor of Grace Church in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Schaeffer also serves as part-time corporate vice-president and chairman of the Board for The Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA).

Dr. Schaeffer challenged TFC graduates to remain steadfast to their faith in Jesus Christ. He also reminded them that God is always with them. They will have trouble in this world but they have a direct lifeline to Him through prayer.

Baccalaureate was held Friday, May 11 at 7:30 p.m. The speaker was Dr. David Smith. Dr. Smith presently serves as the senior pastor of Fairhaven Church where he has served on staff since 1998. He also served as the senior pastor of Dalat International Church, which is associated with Dalat School in Malaysia. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors for The Christian and Missionary Alliance and serves on the Board of Trustees for Toccoa Falls College.
