Scripture for the Day: Romans 15
Last month I read through the book of Romans during my personal devotional times, and one verse jumped out to me particularly. It was Romans 8:18, which speaks about our present suffering not even being worthy of comparison to the glory that will be revealed to us. I feel that there is a special connection between us and Christ’s suffering on the cross. He suffered and endured the pain of the most humiliating death so that we might become the righteousness of God. His suffering was momentary and the glory later ascribed to Him far outweighed it. We can view our troubles and hardships in light of this truth. The glory that is yet to be revealed to us will absolutely triumph over the present hardships that we find hard to see past right now. Let us take hope in the fact that an immeasurable glory will be ours and our present troubles will be but a faint memory. Remember Romans 8:18- For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us.

Sometimes what we are going through can seem overwhelming. As we walk this journey with you, we do not want to give up. We want to remember that because of your work on the cross, we can pass through the test we are going through and that one day all these sufferings will be left behind. We will stand amazed in your presence so glad that we walked with you and we will praise your name with a new understanding and abandon!
