Each week, the NCCAA selects a student/athlete of the week to represent each sport in season. This week the volleyball honor went to TFC’s Bethany Slate. Slate had a double-double in all five matches last week. Against LaGrange College she had 20 kills and 32 digs; against Spartanburg Methodist, she had 15 kills with 16 digs; against Salem College, she had 15 kills and 18 digs; against Wake Tech. Community College, she had 18 kills and 20 digs; and finally against Piedmont Baptist College, she had 18 kills and 23 digs. Bethany had a total of 86 kills for an average of 5.05 kills per set.  She had a total of 109 digs for an average of 6.41 digs per set. She also averaged 1.8 blocks per match and had 3 aces and 4 set assists.
