The annual Woerner Missionary Lecture series at Toccoa Falls College is scheduled for October 31 – November 2 and is featuring guest lecturer Dr. Yong Cho.

Dr. Cho is the international director of Global Network of Missions Structures (www.gnms.net), co-president of East-WestCenterfor Missions Research and Development (www.ewcmrd.com), vice-chairman of Asian Society of Missiology, vice-chairman of Third World Missions Association, and an assistant professor of International Studies at KoreaUniversity(www.kuis.ac.kr). Previously, he served as chairman of the Planning Committee for the Tokyo 2010 Global Mission Consultation and Celebration. He has also published many articles in English and Korean and has authored three books: Profiles of Unreached Peoples in the Philippines (1991), Ministry Reports of Global Partners (2006), and Ministry Evaluation and Reports of Global Partners (2009).

He received a B.A. in Civil Engineering fromKoreaUniversityand then received a second B.A. in Biblical Studies fromTrinityCollege. He also received both his M.Div. and Th.M. fromTrinityEvangelicalDivinitySchooland his Ph.D. fromTrinityInternationalUniversity. He and his wife Kyoung have three sons.

The Woerner Missionary Lecture Series, named for Gustave “Uncle Gus” Woerner, former professor of missions at the college, was established in 1971 as an annual lectureship atToccoaFallsCollege. It seeks to bring distinguished missionaries, teachers, and scholars who truly believe the Great Commission and accept it as a challenge which is relevant and meaningful for this generation and toToccoaFallsCollege. To this end, the Woerner Missionary Lecture Series is dedicated to fulfilling Jesus’ command to “Go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19), especially to the more than two billion yet unreached.

The lecture series will be held at the Grace Chapel and Performing Arts Center Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday mornings beginning at10:00 a.m.and Monday and Tuesday evenings beginning at6:30 p.m.
