Stands Signs with Lady Eagles

The Toccoa Falls College women’s soccer program and head coach Jake Warren are pleased to announce its first signing of the 2014 recruiting class. Olivia Stands from Boise, Idaho, has signed her letter of intent and will join the TFC Lady Eagles program in the fall of 2014.

Stands is a skilled player who stars as an outside midfielder for Meridian High School. At Meridian, Olivia is a two year starter on the varsity squad and was awarded the Best Offensive Player and the Warrior Award, and is a two time recipient of the Academic Achievement Award. She was also nominated for first team all-region for the 5A Division Idaho. Stands currently plays for Rush Soccer Club and has playing experience with the Boise National Soccer Club. As a member of BNSC, Stands won two consecutive state cups.

Coach Warren said of the signing, “We are very excited to add Olivia to our program. After a great high school and club career, she brings the quality and experience we are looking for in players. Not only is she a talented player, Olivia has sustained success in the classroom and exhibits the character qualities that make her an excellent fit for our school.”

Olivia plans to major in Secondary Science Education and is the daughter of Jeff and Lydia Stands. Mrs. Lydia Stands also attended Toccoa Falls College.
