Toccoa Falls College has new vehicles! We received the four mini-buses on September 12, 2013. The Men’s Soccer team took two of those mini-buses to their game against Warren Wilson on September 13, 2013. We also received a coach bus on October 30, 2013 and the Men’s Soccer team took the bus down to Clearwater, Florida to compete in the Region Tournament. The mini-buses are being leased and paid for with institutional money. The coach bus was paid for by combining a large donation and money from the Eagle Club. The cost of the wrap on the coach bus was partially covered by a donation received from the Alumni Board during Homecoming weekend.
Athletic Director, Jason Mehl said, “I am very grateful to those who donated funds and to the TFC Administration who saw fit to invest in these vehicles to help address the transportation needs of the college. The vehicles are a tremendous asset to the entire campus. The road-trip experience of our student-athletes has improved dramatically in every way—safety, comfort, style. This is a significant upgrade that we are proud of and grateful for.”
TFC President, Dr. Robert Myers also said, “Recently TFC has expanded our transportation options for faculty, staff, and students. Our athletic teams and musical groups are now traveling on new mini-buses and a full size coach bus fully marked with our TFC logo. We are thrilled to be able to provide our college community with the safety and comfort of these new vehicles.”
Thank you to those who graciously gave donations whether through alumni or the Eagle Club!
