Toccoa Falls College will be having the Woerner Missionary Lecture Series on November 4-6 this year. There will be services Monday through Wednesday at 10:00 a.m., along with evening chapels on Monday and Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. All services will be held in Grace Chapel and Performing Arts Center.

The Woerner Missionary Lecture Series was established in 1971 as an annual lectureship at Toccoa Falls College. The WMLS seeks to bring to campus distinguished missionaries, teachers, and scholars who truly believe the Great Commission and accept it as a challenge that is relevant and meaningful for this generation.  To this day, the WMLS is dedicated to fulfilling Jesus’ command to “Go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19), especially to the more than two billion unreached.

The speaker this year is Dr. Jeff Adams. Dr. Adams holds a B.Min. from Luther Rice Seminary, a Master of Sacred Literature and a Ph.D. in Expository Preaching from Trinity Theological Seminary. He is the senior pastor at Graceway, a large multicultural, multilingual, multigenerational congregation in Kansas City, Missouri. In 1974, he and his family moved to Central America where he served in Costa Rica and Nicaragua. Two years later they moved to the Miramonte Baptist Church in San Salvador, El Salvador. During that nation’s civil war, the church experienced remarkable growth under Jeff’s leadership as senior pastor. Dr. Adams returned to his home church, Graceway, in 1984.

His interests include a love of snow skiing, and he has been a practitioner of Shotokan karate for many years.  He and his wife, Cheryl have two married daughters, Sarah and Rebekah, and four grandchildren.
