Mr. David Alan Jones and his wife will be leaving very soon for a mission trip to Russia! Mr. Jones is the Assistant Professor of Voice at Toccoa Falls College and has been teaching at TFC since 1993. Mr. Jones has been a Minister of Music in a number of churches in both Texas and Georgia. He has also appeared with the Atlanta Opera and the Southeastern Savoyards Light Opera Company, Toccoa Symphony, and many others including productions.

Mr. Jones and his wife will be leaving to Russia on October 7, 2013, and they will be there until October 16, 2013. Mrs. Jones is a part of the Jubalheirs, a ladies choir made up of women Baptists around Georgia. This year, the Jubalheirs are traveling and performing in St. Petersburg and Moscow, encouraging others with their gift of music. Mr. Jones will be teaching Vocal Pedagogy at the Institute of Sacred Music in Moscow during this trip. The Jones also plans to join projects to support the local missionaries in Russia. These projects include concerts in the evening, ladies bible studies, renovation teams, office work, music workshops, and helping homeless shelters. Their hope for this trip is to use music to draw people in and build relationships that will lead to faith in God.

Mr. Jones said, “We’re excited to go into Russia and support the missionaries’ work and God’s work in the kingdom of God by using music and covet your prayers.”

Please keep Mr. and Mrs. Jones in your prayers as they go on this mission trip together with the Jubalheirs.
