The Lady Eagles volleyball team participated in a tri-match hosted by Johnson University in Knoxville, Tennessee, on September 28. At the tri-match, TFC fell to Ohio Christian University in straight sets; 21-25, 7-25, and 13-25. Johnson University also topped the Lady Eagles 3-0; 18-25, 22-25, and 15-25.

In the loss to Ohio Christian, sisters Britney and Nikki Eitutis led the Lady Eagles attack with 5 kills apiece. Courtney Bechtold, Hadley Harris, and Kim Crapse combined for 9 kills in the match. Defensively, Rachel Morris led the team with 9 digs and Nikki Eitutis and Crystal Yang combined for 10 additional digs. Setter Hadley Harris assisted on 16 of the 19 team kills.

Bechtold’s 17 digs led the Lady Eagles defensively in the loss to Johnson University. Morris added 11 digs. On offense, Britney Eitutis again led TFC with 8 kills, and Kim Crapse contributed 5. Setter Hadley Harris matched her game one assists tally with 16 additional assists against Johnson.

TFC hits the road three times in the upcoming week. First, the Lady Eagles will head to Spartanburg Methodist College on Tuesday. TFC will end the week in Jacksonville, Florida, at a tri-match against region foes Trinity Baptist College and Florida Christian College.
