Mr. W. David Stufft Receives Vulcan Materials Teaching Excellence Award

Toccoa Falls, GA (May 15, 2013) Mr. W. David Stufft, Assistant Professor of Music Education, is the 2012–2013 recipient of the Vulcan Materials Teaching Excellence Award for Toccoa Falls College. During the college’s annual Awards Chapel on May 8, Dr. Brian Shelton, Vice President for Academic Affairs, presented the award to Mr. Stufft.

The award honors a faculty member who has made a distinctive difference both in the classroom and in the campus community. Winners of this award have provided model teaching and campus leadership, as well as pioneering teaching methods and creative course development.

For the past 19 years, Vulcan Materials Company has sponsored through Georgia Independent College Association (GICA) a Teaching Excellence Award of $1,000 to deserving faculty members at GICA member colleges and universities. Vulcan Materials has chosen to continue to provide a Teaching Excellence Award sponsorship at Toccoa Falls College.
