After Piedmont brought the game to 5 – 1 in their half of the third, the Eagles plated three additional runs in the fourth to take the 8 – 1 lead. The Lions would tack on an additional run in the seventh for a final score of 8 – 2.

Josh Ward finished 1 – 4 with two runs scored, a stolen base, and two RBI’s.  Matt Alligood walked twice and scored two runs. Justin Key was 1 – 2 with a run and a stolen base.  AJ Mussler and Adam Reynolds also scored for the Eagles. Chris White led the Lions at the plate; 2 – 2 with a run and walk.
