The Lady Eagles basketball season came to an end on Friday in the semifinals of the South Region tournament hosted by Clearwater Christian College in Clearwater, Florida. The four seeded Lady Eagles were paired with top seed Trinity Baptist College and were defeated 96 – 52.

Trinity Baptist established their dominance from the opening whistle and jumped to 19 – 8 lead less than 7 minutes into the game. A rash of turnovers by TFC would lead to transition lay ups for Trinity Baptist, and the Lady Eagles found themselves down 48 – 26 at the half. The second period was more of the same for TFC. Trinity opened the second period with a 12 – 0 run and built a lead TFC would be unable to overcome. In the end, TFC’s season ended with a 96 – 52 defeat.

TFC’s leading scorer was first team All – Region selection Cassidy Lang. Lang averaged 12 points a game throughout the season and scored 15 in the Trinity Baptist loss. Kim Crapse, who was given second team All – Region honors, added 9 points for the Lady Eagles. Maddy Moody was named honorable mention on the All – Region team. This was the final game for TFC seniors Kaitlyn Antonioli and Angela Little.
