TFC Lady Eagles hosted Johnson University on February 9. The Lady Eagles struggled from the field and lost 49 – 60.
The Lady Eagles fell behind early against Johnson as the visitors made 15 of 17 free throws in the first half while the Lady Eagles did not attempt a single free throw. That advantage from the line helped Johnson open a 37 – 23 lead at the half. Despite out playing Johnson for the majority of the second half, the Lady Eagles were unable to overcome the first half deficit. In the second half TFC outscored Johnson 32 – 30, but fell by 11. Johnson out shot the Lady Eagles from the free throw line on the game, converting 28 of 33 attempts compared to TFC’s 5 of 6 from the line.
The game against Johnson was Senior Night for two Lady Eagles. Kaitlyn Antonioli had a season high 9 points on Senior Night, and Angela Little started for the Lady Eagles but left the game with a leg injury. Cassidy Lang scored 22 points in the loss. Kim Crapse grabbed a game high 15 rebounds for the Lady Eagles.
The Lady Eagles will travel to Warren Wilson College and Georgia Northwestern Tech on February 12 and 15, respectively. The final home game will be on Saturday, February 15 at 2:00 against Covenant College.
