The Lady Eagles hosted Pensacola Christian College on Thursday night in their first home game of the new year. The TFC Lady Eagles succumbed to the full court pressure of the PCC Lady Eagles, and were defeated 44 – 77 .

TFC was unable to solve Pensacola’s full court pressure early in the game, and allowed the visitors too many transition lay ups. In the first half, TFC committed 19 turnovers, and fell behind 23 – 36 at the half. The second half was much of the same for TFC. 14 second half turnovers continued to force the Lady Eagles into empty offensive possessions. The deep bench of Pensacola allowed them to continue their high pressure, and enabled PCC to leave town with a 44 – 77 victory.

Toccoa Falls had two players record statistical double-doubles in the game. Cassidy Lang and Kim Crapse each contributed 12 points and 10 rebounds apiece. TFC’s Maddy Moody scored 7 points and grabbed 8 rebounds for the Lady Eagles.

The men’s and women’s teams are both in action at home against Piedmont International University this Saturday. The Lady Eagles tip off at 1:00, and the men’s team will follow at 3:00.
