TFC Lady Eagles traveled to Knoxville, Tennessee, on November 10 to face Johnson University. The Lady Eagles showed improvement from their previous games, but fell 75-62.
Early turnovers by the Lady Eagles gave Johnson an early lead that grew to as many as 19 points in the first half. The first half ended with the home side having a 18 point lead. Despite the deficit, the Lady Eagles regrouped, and cut the lead to single digits in the second half. TFC’s late run was withstood, and the Lady Eagles fell 75-62. “We improved in a lot of areas tonight,” said Coach Jason Swiney. “We actually won the second half by five points, and that was really encouraging.” Leading the Lady Eagles were Cassidy Lang’s 23 points. Kim Crapse added 18 points in the loss.
TFC’s first home games of the season will be played on November 13 against Bob Jones Bruins. The Lady Eagles will tip off at 5:00 and the men will follow at 7:00.
