New students began arriving at Toccoa Falls College early on Tuesday morning. They came with packed cars, hopes for the future, and a readiness to begin the next step in fulfilling their dreams for the future. The day was full of busy activities involving registration, unloading cars, settling into dorm rooms, and meeting new friends.
TFC President, Dr. Bob Myers said, “We are excited to begin this new academic year at TFC. Hundreds of students begin returning to campus to reunite with faculty, staff, and other friends. We are anticipating a tremendous year of in depth academic study, first class athletics and our continual focus on scripture, truth, wisdom, and service.”
A “Welcome Chapel” was held for students and parents followed by a reception in the dining hall on Tuesday night. Orientation for new students starts on Wednesday, August 22. Students will attend seminars, Student Government Association events, tours around campus, and much more. There are also dorm activities that the students will participate in to help them familiarize with dorm life on campus. With the many activities happening during orientation, students are having fun and learning about the history of Toccoa Falls College as well as the community of Stephens County. Returning students arrive at campus on August 25. Fall classes begin on Monday, August 27.
