During the summer the average temperature is 76.5 degrees, with a
high of 95 degrees. Winter low is 9 degrees with an average temperature

Toccoa has one local newspaper which is distributed two times per
week, two radio stations and one TV station. The enlarged airport is
called LeTourneau Field for small aircraft. The airport elevation is
1,109'. Toccoa is privileged to have a community theater, city symphony,
arts festival, Fall Harvest Festival, music festivals, and a Taste of
Toccoa. Conference centers include the Georgia Baptist Assembly, Camp
Mikell, and Camp Toccoa (State Campfire Council).
The Atlanta metropolitan area, Georgia's most exciting area and home
of the 1996 summer Olympics, is about an hour away from the college.
Downtown Atlanta is 90 miles from TFC and the Atlanta airport is about 2
hours away. Atlanta offers a full range of cultural opportunities
including entertainment of all kinds, restaurants, parks, professional
athletics (Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta Hawks, and Atlanta
Thrashers), shopping, and various other historic charms of the state
capital. Students at Toccoa Falls College find big-city advantages and
