Pay Scale Definitions

Level I

This level is for positions that require little to no previous experience, some training, and little supervision responsibilities of facilities or staff. This level represents 66% of positions on campus.

Level II

This level is for positions that require work experience in a related field to perform the functions of the job. This position requires significant training in a technical area, may require moderate supervision of facilities, or requires significant exertion of physical labor to perform the functions of the job. This level represents 33% of positions on campus.

Level III

This level is for positions that require significant work experience, technical skills, knowledge, and/or considerable supervision responsibilities. Placement into this level is not simply based on longevity in the position, but rather on documented job requirements and demonstration that the student meets those requirements. This level represents 1% of positions on campus.
