So are you wondering what I do on the weekends? Well, I wish I could give the good student answer and say that I study for the majority of it, but that wouldn’t be true. I hang out with my friends a lot and I try to enjoy the couple of days I get outside of the classroom. Like this past weekend, for instance. On Friday night, I went to the Java Station with a friend; then we spontaneously drove to Mt. Airy and came back and walked around campus until curfew. Other people often go the movies, the weekly bluegrass night in Tallulah Falls, or even home.

And home is where I’ll be this weekend. It’s been five weeks and I haven’t gone home yet, so I’m really looking forward to staying there for the weekend. I live in Snellville, which is about an hour and a half away, so the drive won’t be too bad.

I found out the grades of my first two tests this week. They weren’t so grand. I mean, I passed them, but I now know what I need to do in order to keep my grades up in those classes.

Today, I went with my friend Mandi and got my cartilage pierced. We just walked right in and had it done. I wonder what my friends back home are going to say when I see them this weekend. It’s definitely not something I would have done without Mandi’s insistence.

I guess I should go pack for the weekend now.
