This week started off so great!  My mom came up on Sunday to go to church with me.  She also brought up my “little sister” Allie who ended up spending Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday with me here.  I took her around Toccoa, one of my classes and chapel, and on a hike to Contentment Falls.  We both had a really great time.  This was the first time one of my friends from home came to visit me, so it really meant a lot that she could come.

 The rest of the week hasn’t been particularly grand.  I suppose I’m still feeling stressed out from the week that I was sick, so hopefully I’ll get back to my normal self in a couple of days; especially since I’m going home this weekend. 

 These last two days, we’ve had the most amazing weather.  Yesterday, for Barnabas Group, my group met outside on the tennis courts because the weather was too beautiful to miss.  The sky was deep blue, there was a slight breeze, and the sun was so warm.  It was such a contrast to the weather we had on Wednesday—cold and wet.  I wish the weather would be like it was on Thursday every Thursday so that we could have Barnabas outside every week. 

 Speaking of Barnabas, I guess you might be wondering what exactly it is that we do in Barnabas Group.  First of all, it’s called Barnabas after the man in the Bible who was a great encourager.  It’s a time to get encouragement from your peers and to pray for the people around you.  Some groups are divided by major (for instance, there is one for music majors), but others, like mine, are pretty random.  There are two other girls from my hall, three girls from LeTourneau, and our leaders are two junior girls, Krista and Rachel.  A couple of weeks ago, we started a study using the book Lady in Waiting.  I did the same study several years ago, but it’s been really great to revisit a lot of the concepts that I had forgotten.  I will be interested to see what I can learn from it this time around!
