Last week, for Thanksgiving, I went home and really enjoyed the time I had with my family.  My twin sister Libby came home.  She goes to school in Arkansas and wasn’t supposed to come home until Christmas.  It was kind of last-minute, but I was so excited that she could make it.  Having her there was definitely the best part of being home. 

She also brought two of my cousins with her here.  We all had such a great time shopping, staying up way too late, watching movies, and talking.  After dinner on Thanksgiving, Dad took us to a Gwinnett Gladiators hockey game.  My family really likes hockey and we got really good seats, so needless to say, we had a fun time. 

This week has been so hectic.  The Christmas Banquet is tomorrow, so for this whole week, Katie and I have been wrapping up all of the details that have to get worked out before then.  Tomorrow is going to be amazing!  We’ll be pretty busy in the morning (we’re meeting at 6:30 AM to load up and transport the drawbridge that Katie’s dad built), but after we get everything set up, I’m going to come back to my room and relax.  Then I’ll get ready for the evening.  It’s going to be so fun to get dressed up.  A lot of girls on the hall are going and I can’t wait to see how they look tomorrow night. 

Last night was the annual Christmas Candlelight Service.  It was beautiful.  The concert band, college choir, and several ensembles played and the audience was packed.  This may sound weird, but it was cool to look out at the audience and see so many adults.  Usually, like during chapel and other special services, there are hardly any because most people there are college kids. 

Well, I’m exhausted and so I’m going to take a nap before my next class.  If you think about this at all, please pray for me and all of the other students here.  Finals are next week and a lot of tensions will flare up, emotions will fluctuate, and tears will be shed.  I know we would all appreciate your prayers.
