Cross-Cultural Studies Major
World Missions Department
Cross-Cultural Studies major equips future servant leaders with knowledge, skill, and character pertinent to communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ to people of other cultures from a biblical worldview. Naturally established from biblical principles, the major offers both theory and practical application of cross-cultural skills and ministry through anthropology courses in addition to skills-based strategies. History of missions, church planting and development, training and discipleship, cross-cultural communication, and urban ministries accompany an in-depth ethnographic project centering on cross-cultural strategies to one particular people group. An internship in the senior year provides hands-on experience under a formal mentor as the student prepares to candidate in churches or to go on to seminary for further preparation.
This exciting major is a premier applied degree for young people seeking urban or overseas career preparation.
** Please note: This program description is for students entering Toccoa Falls College in the 2012-2013 catalog year.
