Online Sites

There are many internet sites advertising free formatting of bibliography or works cited pages. If you use them, remember that they depend on you to choose the right citation type for your material, give them the right types of information, and they are only as good as their programming! It is always wise to check what they format for you against the appropriate style guide.

Database Citation Features

Our Ebsco and ProQuest databases from GALILEO will format your citation for you. As with all computer-generated citations, you need to proofread them carefully.

EBSCO
When you are viewing the summary of the article you want, choose the Print button from the top right of the screen. On the next screen, choose your citation style from the middle drop-down menu. Finally, press the print button on the left side of the scren. The system will display the citation on the next screen.

Note: An MLA citation generated this way will have a section that says "[Library Name], [City], [State]". You must manually replace this with "GALILEO, Athens, GA".

PROQUEST
