Preparing for the Audition

  1. Begin by asking your applied music teacher to help select appropriate music for performance.  Their coaching is most invaluable at this important time.

  2. Approach the audition positively.  This attitude will help you put your best foot forward.

  3. If traveling a distance, allow enough time to arrive at least 15 minutes ahead of scheduled audition time.

  4. Clothes which are neat and professional will help you perform comfortably and with confidence.

  5. If you have extra copies of the music itself, bring it along.   If not, DO NOT PHOTOCOPY, one copy will suffice.
