Women's Basketball
Team Defeats Judson 67-56 (1/15)
TFC jumped out to an early lead behind Sarah
Kibbe's strong inside
play. They continued to hold the lead with
Dyanna Cannon carrying the
scoring load with a total of 17 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists.
Judson finished the first half scoring 7 straight points and
opended the
second half with the first 6 points to take a short lived lead. Amy
Embry scored all 13 of her points in the second half to help regain the
lead. She also lead the team with 5 steals and 3 assists. Considering
they only had 4 days of practice after the Christmas Break the team
looked in pretty decent shape.
Men's Basketball Team Loses to Piedmont
Baptist College (12/6)
The Toccoa Falls College Men's Basketball team lost their last
game of the semester to Piedmont Baptist College by the score of 75-83.
It was the second region loss in a row for the Eagles and they will
enter the break with a region record of 0-2 and 5-7 overall.
Leading the Eagles in scoring for the game was John
Rychener with 26
points, Jason Shaffer with 23 points, and
Chancey Dorsey with 10 points.
Ron Daniels led the Eagles with 9 rebounds and Ryan Terry pulled down
seven. The Eagles will play their next game after the first of the
year when they travel to Southeastern Bible January 12 and then to
Wesley College on the 13th.
Men's Basketball Team Splits Pair of
Games in Toccoa Falls Classic (12/3)
The Toccoa Falls College Men's Basketball team split a pair of
games in the Toccoa Falls Classic this weekend. Playing in their
first home game of the season, the Eagles were able to defeat Freewill
Baptist Bible College by the score of 66-62. The Eagles seemed to
be in complete control of the game with eight and a half minutes
remaining and leading by the score of 58-33. Then the Flames of
Freewill Baptist caught fire and outscored the Eagles 29-8 down the
stretch. Ryan Terry led the Eagles with a double double, 13 points
and 11 rebounds. John Rychener added 12 points and Jason Shaffer
11. Shaffer also had six assists and
Rychener nine rebounds.
In their second game of the Classic, the Eagles faced off against Wesley
College, a South Region opponent and the number one team in
NCCAA
Division II. The defensive pressure and athleticism of Wesley
forced the Eagles into 27 turnovers and their worst shooting performance
of the season, less than 30% from the field and less than 20% from the
three point line. The Eagles were down 51-27 at the half and the
final was 88-54. Shaffer was the only Eagle in double figures with
10 points and Rychener led the team in rebounding with 9. With the
loss the Eagles are 0-1 in the region and 5-6 overall. The Eagles
will try to even their record when they host South Region opponent
Piedmont Baptist on Tuesday December 5 at 6:00. It will be the
last game of the semester for the Eagles.
Men's Basketball Team Takes Second Place
in Wagner Classic (11/13)
The Toccoa Falls College Men's Basketball team took second place
this past weekend at the Washington Bible College Wagner Classic.
The Eagles lost the first game they played in the Classic to Northern
Virginia C.C. by the score of 63-94. John
Rychener led the Eagles
in scoring with 10 points and Chancey Dorsey and Daniel Ritchey had 8
rebounds apiece. In their second game, the Eagles beat Washington
Bible College by the score of 114-52. The Eagles led at halftime
60-22. Four players scored in double figures for the Eagles:
Will Douberly 19 points (five three pointers), John
Rychener 17 points,
Cody Clevenger 14 points, and Carl Jean-Bart 10 points.
Chancey
Dorsey led the Eagles with 11 rebounds and Paul Mallalieu had five
assists. In their final game the Eagles played Word of Life Bible
College and won 105-72. With the win the Eagles finished in second
place for the tournament. The Eagles had three players in double
figures: Ron Daniels 27 points, Jason Shaffer 23 points, and John
Rychener 17 points. Daniels also had 19 rebounds and
Rychener had
8 assists. The Eagles record now stands at 3-2 and will play again
Tuesday November 14 at 7:00 when they travel to Warren Wilson College.
Men's Basketball Team Splits Pair of
Games to Open Season (11/6)
The Toccoa Falls College Men's Basketball team lost their season
opener on the road at Johnson Bible College by the score of 91-67.
The Eagles are currently playing without four
returners who will be
joining the team later this week. The Eagles therefore made a lot
of mistakes which JBC took full advantage of. The Eagles
were down 37-25 at halftime and could not cut into the lead in the
second half. The Eagles were led in scoring by three freshman, Jon
Rychener 14 points, Carl Jean-Bart 13 points, and Cody Clevenger 13
points. On Saturday, the Eagles were able to rebound and defeated
Freewill Baptist Bible College by the score of 100-67. Again, the
Eagles had a tremendous amount of turnovers which kept the game close
until seven minutes left in the game when the Eagles were up 68-57.
From that point on the Eagles played mistake free basketball and were
able to put together a 32-10 run to close out the game. The Eagles
had six players score in double figures, Clevenger 19, Ron Daniels 18,
Daniel Ritchey 18, Rychener 14,
Chancey Dorsey 11, and Will
Douberly 10.
The Eagles will travel to Washington Bible College to play three games
in their classic.
Women's Basketball Team Wins Season
Opener (11/6)
The Toccoa Falls College Women's Basketball team won their
season opener on the road against Freewill Baptist Bible College by the
score of 61-46. The Lady Eagles were led in scoring by freshman
Bonnie McGee who had 24 points which included six three pointers.
Freshman Michaela Estill had a double double with 12 points and 10
rebounds. Sophomore Becky Ester led the Lady Eagles with 7
assists. The Lady Eagles will be traveling this weekend to play at
Johnson Bible on Thursday and then on to Cincinnati Christian University
to participate in their classic on Friday and Saturday. At the
classic they will play Cincinnati on Friday and Northland Baptist on
Saturday.
Men's Soccer Team Finishes Sixth in
National Tournament (11/6)
The Toccoa Falls College Men's Soccer team finished exactly
where they were seeded in the NCCAA National Tournament when they lost
to Northland Baptist on Saturday by the score of 5-1. Jason
Shaffer scored the lone goal for the Eagles. The Eagles earned
their way to play for fifth place when they defeated Providence College
on Friday by the score of 2-0. Scoring for the Eagles in this
match were Matt Dixon and Daniel Greenfield. The Eagles finish
their season with an overall record of 14-10-1.
Women's Soccer Team Finishes Fourth in
National Tournament (11/6)
The Toccoa Falls College Women's Soccer team defeated Northland
Baptist on Friday by the score of 5-1 and earned them the right to play
Southeastern University for third place in the
NCCAA National
Tournament. In the game against Northland Jessica
Khoury scored
two goals, Amy Embry, Brenda Bittner, and Meghan
Pasquariello each had
one goal. Then on Saturday Southeastern defeated the Lady Eagles
for the fourth time this season by the score of 2-0. The Lady
Eagles finished with the fourth place plaque in their first appearance
in the National Tournament. The Lady Eagles final record on the
season is 14-10-1
Men's Soccer Team Loses to Cincinnati
Christian (11/3)
The #5 seeded Toccoa Falls College Men's Soccer team failed in
their attempt to give #3 seeded Cincinnati Christian University its
first loss of the season in their opening game of the
NCCAA National
Tournament losing by the score of 4-3. The Eagles came out and
scored first taking an early 1-0 lead on a goal by David
Eckman.
It was the first goal given up by CCU since September 30. With 25
minutes to go in the first half CCU tied the game at 1-1 and then three
minutes later went up 2-1. Eckman then scored his second goal of
the game evening the score again at 2-2.
CCU started the second
half strong scoring two quick goals, one off of a penalty kick, taking
the lead 4-2. Andrew Wiese scored the third goal for the Eagles
which would be their last making the final 4-3. The Eagles will
play #7 seed Providence College today at 7:00 and with a win would then
play for fifth place on Saturday. Providence lost its first round
game to #2 seed Philadelphia Biblical University by the score of 2-1.
Women's Soccer Team Loses to Baptist
Bible (11/3)
The #4 seeded Toccoa Falls College Women's Soccer team lost
their first game of the NCCAA National Soccer Tournament to #1 seeded
Baptist Bible College by the score of 4-1. The Lady Eagles were
down 4-0 at halftime but managed to play even with BBC in the second
half. Scoring the lone goal for the Lady Eagles was freshman
Jessica Khoury. The Lady Eagles will play #5 seed Northland
Baptist Bible College today at 7:00. If the Lady Eagles can win
today they would play for third place on Saturday. Northland
Baptist also suffered a loss Baptist Bible by the score of 3-0.
Coach Bowman South Region Coach of the
Year (10/31)
The coaches of the
NCCAA South Region voted Coach Russ Bowman,
head women's soccer coach of Toccoa Falls College, as the South Region
Coach of the Year. Coach Bowman is in his fourth year as head
coach of the Lady Eagles and he led this year's team to its best season
in the history of the program and they are making their first appearance
in the NCCAA National Tournament as an at-large bid.
Men's Soccer Team Receives At-Large Bid
to National Tournament (10/30)
The Toccoa Falls College Men's Soccer team received the at-large
bid to the NCCAA National Tournament. The Eagles are the sixth
seed in the field of eight teams. They will begin play against #3
seed Cincinnati Christian University at 7:30 on Thursday November 2 in
Kissimmee, FL. Cincinnati Christian is undefeated and untied on
the season and are Mideast Region Champions.
Women's Soccer Team Receives At-Large Bid
to National Tournament (10/30)
The Toccoa Falls College Women's Soccer team is going to the
NCCAA National Tournament for the first time in the history of the
program. The Lady Eagles received an at-large bid to round out the
field of six teams competing in the tournament. The Lady Eagles
are the fourth seed and will be traveling to Kissimmee, FL to begin play
on Thursday November 2 at 2:00 when they face #1 seed East Region
Champion Baptist Bible College from Clark Summit, PA. Then on
Friday at 7:00 the Lady Eagles will play #5 seed Midwest Region Champion
Northand Baptist Bible College from Dunbar, WI. The outcome of
these two games will determine what place the Lady Eagles play for on
Saturday.
NCCAA South Region Announces All Region
Women's Soccer Team (10/30)
The National Christian College Athletic Association South Region
announced its All Region Teams at the tournament this past weekend.
The Toccoa Falls College Women's Soccer team placed six players on the
teams. Receiving second team honors were freshman Meghan
Pasquariello, senior Amy Embry, and senior Katie Caldwell. First
team selections were freshman Jessica
Khoury, sophomore
Arri
Hotalen,
junior Rachel Saburro.
Women's Soccer Team Loses in Championship
Match (10/30)
The Toccoa Falls College Women's Soccer team lost in the South
Region Championship to Southeastern University by the score of 1-3.
Jessica Khoury scored the goal for the Lady Eagles and it was the first
goal scored on SEU in region play this season. The Lady Eagles
made it to the championship by defeating Clearwater Christian College on
Friday by the score of 2-0. Amy Embry scored both of the goals for
the Lady Eagles. Even with the loss the Lady Eagles could receive
an at-large bid to the NCCAA National Tournament.
NCCAA South Region Announces All Region
Volleyball Team (10/30)
The National Christian College Athletic Association South Region
announced its All Region Teams at the tournament this past weekend and
the Toccoa Falls College Volleyball team placed four players on the
teams. Selected to the second team were sophomore Carol Merritt,
junior Mercy Lynn, and sophomore Holly
Sprowls. Making first team
all region was sophomore Christine Kennedy.
Volleyball Team Loses in Semifinals of
South Region Tournament (10/30)
The Toccoa Falls College Volleyball team hosted the South Region
Tournament this past weekend and they made it to the semifinal round
before losing to Southeastern University 18-30, 12-30, and 15-30.
In the pool play round of the tournament the Lady Eagles defeated
Atlanta Christian 30-13, 30-13, and 30-17, then they lost to Clearwater
Christian 13-30, 14-30, and 20-30. In the quarterfinal round the
Lady Eagles defeated Florida Christian 30-10, 30-13, and 30-26.
The Lady Eagles finish the 2006 season with a 14-12 record.
Women's Soccer Team Closes Out Their
Regular Season With Two Wins (10/23)
The Toccoa Falls College Women's Soccer team traveled to
Kentucky Christian University this past weekend and defeated the Knights
in back to back games 6-3 and 5-2. In Friday's win the Lady Eagles
were led in scoring by Jessica Khoury with 3 goals, Amy Embry with 2,
and Michelle Mallalieu with 1. On Saturday the same three girls
did all the scoring with Embry and Mallalieu scoring 2 each and
Khoury
1. The Lady Eagles close out their regular season with a record of
12-7-1 and will travel to Lakeland, FL October 27-28 for the
NCCAA South
Region Tournament to be hosted by Southeastern University. The
Lady Eagles are the #2 seed and will play #3 seed Clearwater Christian
College in their first match of the Tournament.
South Region Announces Men's Soccer All
Region Team (10/23)
The Toccoa Falls College Men's Soccer team placed five players
on the NCCAA South Region All Region Team. Receiving second team
honors were senior Jason Shaffer and junior Paul Mallalieu.
Receiving first team honors were senior Matt Dixon, junior Andrew Wiese,
and sophomore Jake Warren.
Men's Soccer Team Falls to Southeastern
University in South Region Championship (10/23)
The Toccoa Falls College Men's Soccer team came up short in its
bid to repeat as South Region Champions. Southeastern University
was able to defeat the Eagles 2-0 on Saturday in a hard fought match.
After 45 minutes of play the score was 0-0 thanks in large part to a
save by keeper Nate
Enlow on a
SEU penalty kick. Play continued to
be fairly even in the second half with both teams having opportunities.
Then with just over nine minutes to play
SEU was able to get a shot past
Enlow.
SEU's second goal came with around four minutes to play off
of another penalty kick opportunity. The Eagles record stands at
13-8-1 and will now wait to see if they receive an at-large bid to the
NCCAA National Tournament.
Men's Soccer Team to Play in Region
Championship Game (10/21)
The Toccoa Falls College Men's Soccer team will be playing for
their second consecutive South Region Championship today at 3:00 when
they face #1 seed Southeastern University. The Eagles earned their
way back into the championship by defeating #2 seed Clearwater Christian
College by the score of 3-2 in double overtime. The Eagles were up
1-0 at halftime on a goal by Jake Warren. Clearwater then tied the
game at 1-1 with thirty minutes remaining in the contest. Andrew
Wiese put the Eagles ahead again with a goal but
CCC was able to tie the
game before time ran out in regulation. Then with about four
minutes remaining in the second overtime, Warren scored his second goal
of the match to give the Eagles the victory.
Women's Soccer Team Defeats Johnson Bible
(10/18)
The Toccoa Falls College Women's Soccer team traveled to Johnson
Bible on Monday and defeated them by the score of 3-2. The Lady
Eagles had leads in the match of 1-0 and 2-1 but both times
JBC was able
to tie the contest. The Lady Eagles finally put them away with
less than 11 minutes left in the match. Scoring for the Lady
Eagles were Jessica Khoury with two goals and Amy Embry with one.
The Lady Eagles will close out their regular season at Kentucky
Christian College this weekend when they will play the Lady Knights at
4:00 on Friday and 11:00 on Saturday. The Lady Eagles are now
10-7-1 for the season.
Volleyball Team Closes Out Regular Season
With Two Wins (10/18)
The Toccoa Falls College Volleyball team was able to close out
the regular season with two wins over
NCCAA opponents. First, they
traveled to Johnson Bible College on Monday and defeated them in four
games by the scores of 30-14, 26-30, 33-31, and 30-20. Next,
they had to travel to region rival Atlanta Christian College yesterday
and again came out victorious in three straight games by the scores of
30-24, 20-14, and 30-20. The Lady Eagles finish the regular season
with a record of 12-10. They will now focus on the South Region
Tournament which they will be hosting October 27 and 28. The Lady
Eagles will be the #3 seed in the tournament and will play their pool
play matches on October 27 at 3:00 and 5:00.
Men's Soccer Team Loses Final Regular
Season Contest (10/14)
The Toccoa Falls College Men's Soccer team lost their final
regular season match to an NCAA II opponent Brevard College 1-3.
Scoring the goal for the Eagles was Andrew Wiese, it was Wiese's 20th
goal of the season. The Eagles will now focus on the South Region
Tournament of which they are the defending champions. The Eagles
will host a first round contest with South Region rival Atlanta
Christian on Tuesday October 17 at 6:30. The Eagles have shutout
ACC both times this season by scores of 7-0 and 8-0. The Eagles
finish out the regular season with a region record of 7-3 and an overall
record of 11-7-1.
Volleyball Team Defeats Piedmont Baptist
College (10/13)
The Toccoa Falls Volleyball team defeated South Region opponent
Piedmont Baptist College in three straight games yesterday afternoon.
The Lady Eagles won the games by the scores of 30-25, 30-21, and 30-21.
With the win the Lady Eagles even their overall record to 10-10 and
their South Region record now stands at 5-3. They will travel to
Johnson Bible on Monday October 16 for a 1:00 match. Then they
will finish out their regular season as they travel to South Region
rival Atlanta Christian on Tuesday October 17 for a 5:00 match.
Women's Soccer Team Loses Close One to
North Greenville University (10/13)
The Toccoa Falls College Women's Soccer team battled hard but
came up short against North Greenville University 1-0. Both teams
had good opportunities throughout the match and with around 15 minutes
to go in the game North Greenville finally got a shot past keeper
Arri
Hotalen. The Lady Eagles are now 9-7-1 on the season and will try
to rebound from the loss when they travel to Johnson Bible College on
Monday October 16 to play at 2:00. The Lady Eagles will try to
start up another win streak as they finish up their season next week
before heading into the Region Tournament.
Volleyball Team Defeats
Spelman College
(10/121)
The Toccoa Falls College Volleyball team beat
Spelman College
for the second time this season in three straight games by the scores of
32-30, 30-26, and 30-28. The Lady Eagles were down 14-22 in the
third game of the match and then battled back to take the lead 27-26.
Spelman then scored two straight points to go ahead 28-27, then the Lady
Eagles scored three straight points to win the game and the match.
The Lady Eagles play their final home regular season game today at 3:00
against South Region opponent Piedmont Baptist College. The Lady
Eagles overall record is now 9-10.
Men's Soccer Team Wins Big Over Atlanta
Christian (10/12)
The Toccoa Falls College Men's Soccer team defeated South Region
rival Atlanta Christian College by the score of 8-0. It was the
fifth win a row for the Eagles and the second time this season that they
have shutout the Chargers. Scoring goals for the Eagles were
Andrew Wiese with three and Jake Warren, Jason Shaffer, Danny Murphy,
and Jesse Lynn all with one each. The South Region record for the
Eagles now stands at 7-3 and their overall record is 11-6-1. They
will travel to Brevard College on Friday October 13 to play at 4:00.
Women's Soccer Team Squeaks by Atlanta
Christian (10/12)
The Toccoa Falls College Women's Soccer team edged by South
Region Rival Atlanta Christian by the score of 1-0. The lone goal
for the Lady Eagles was scored by Amy Embry. It was the sixth
shutout for the Lady Eagles and their third in a row. The Lady
Eagles are now 3-2-1 in the South Region and 9-6-1 overall. They
will play their final home game tonight at 5:00 against visiting North
Greenville University.
Men's Soccer Team Cruises to Two Wins
Over Weekend (10/9)
The Toccoa Falls College Men's Soccer team had two blowout wins
over Homecoming Weekend. In their first game they defeated South
Region opponent Tennessee Temple University by the score of 7-1.
Scoring for the Eagles were Andrew Wiese (3 goals), David
Eckman (2
goals), Jake Warren, and Jason Shaffer. On Saturday, the Eagles
defeated Crown College of Powell, TN 10-0. Leading the scoring for

Eagles will play again on Tuesday October 10 when they host region rival

Women's Soccer Team Defeats Tennessee
Temple University (10/9)
The Toccoa Falls College Women's Soccer team defeated Tennessee
Temple University at home on Friday afternoon of Homecoming Weekend by
the score of 8-0. It was the fifth shutout of the season for the
Lady Eagles. Michele Mallalieu led the team in scoring with three
goals on the day. Amy Embry had two and Megan
Pasquariello and
Jessica Khoury each had one. Brittany Johnston also had her first
goal of her career. The overall record for the Lady Eagles
is now 8-6-1. They will host region rival Atlanta Christian on
Tuesday October 10 at 5:00.
Volleyball Team Loses Two Close Matches
(10/9)
The Toccoa Falls Volleyball team lost two very close matches
over the weekend. The first match was against
NAIA opponent
Brenau
University and the Lady Eagles lost 2-3. The Lady Eagles started
out strong winning the first two games of the contest 30-27 and 30-28.
Brenau then put together three straight wins for the victory 30-26,
30-26, and 16-14. In their second match of the weekend the Lady
Eagles lost to Crown College from Powell, TN. In this contest the
Lady Eagles won the first game 30-24 then dropped the next two 26-30 and
26-30. They won the fourth game 30-24 and then lost the fifth and
deciding game 10-15. The Lady Eagles overall record now stands at
8-10. They will be back in action Tuesday night October 10 at 6:00
when they host Spelman College.
Soccer Teams Defeat Emmanuel College
(10/4)
The Toccoa Falls College Soccer teams were both able to defeat
NAIA opponent Emmanuel College on Tuesday night with the Women's team
scoring a shutout 5-0 and the Men's team getting their second come from
behind win in a row 4-2. The Lady Eagles scored early in their
contest and were able to post a 4-0 halftime lead. Scoring the
four goals in the first half were Amy Embry with two and Mel Miner and
Michelle Mallalieu with one each. With a nice lead at halftime
Coach Bowman was able to play all his players in the second half and
move some people around in different positions. Because of the
adjustments, keeper Arri
Hotalen was able to get some minutes at the
forward position and ultimately scored the fifth and final goal of the
game. Jessica Khoury led the Lady Eagles with four assists.
In the Men's game the Eagles again found themselves down 2-0 early in the match and had to come from behind. By halftime they were able to tie the contest at 2-2 on goals by Jake Warren and Matt Griffin. Griffin's goal came with 13 seconds remaining off of a free kick assisted by Warren. Warren then preceded to score two more goals in the second half to give the Eagles the victory. Both teams will be playing at home again on Friday October 6 against Tennessee Temple University at 2:00 and 4:00.
Men's Soccer Team Defeats Clearwater
Christian College (9/30)
The Toccoa Falls College Men's Soccer team came from behind to
defeat Clearwater Christian College by the score of 3-2. The win
avenged an earlier loss to CCC by the score of 5-1. The Eagles
were down at halftime 2-0 then came out in the second half and scored
three consecutive goals. Scoring for the Eagles were Matt Dixon
with two goals and Andrew Wiese with one. With the win the Eagles
were able to get above the .500 mark with an overall record of 7-6-1 and
a Region record of 5-3. The Eagles will be back in action on
Tuesday October 3 when they host NAIA opponent Emmanuel College at 7:00.
Women's Soccer Team Ties Clearwater
Christian College (9/30)
After defeating Clearwater Christian College earlier in the
season by the score of 3-0, the Toccoa Falls College Women's Soccer team
battled to a 1-1 tie in overtime at CCC. The lone goal for the
Lady Eagles was scored by Amy Embry, her 14th of the season. The
overall record for the Lady Eagles now stands at 6-6-1 and their Region
record is now 2-2-1. The Lady Eagles will play again on Tuesday
October 3 as they host NAIA opponent Emmanuel College at 5:00.
Men's and Women's Soccer Teams Lose to
Southeastern University (9/30)
The Toccoa Falls College Men's and Women's Soccer teams were
defeated by South Region opponent Southeastern University by the scores
of 3-1 for the men and 2-0 for the women. The only goal scored on
the day by the Eagles' teams was by junior forward Andrew Wiese.
It was Wiese's ninth goal of the season. Both teams will be be
back in action today as they take on another South Region opponent
Clearwater Christian College. Game times are at 11:00 for the
women and 1:00 for the men.
Volleyball Team Wins Third Straight Match
(9/29)
The Toccoa Falls College Volleyball team won its third match in
a row by defeating Johnson Bible College by the scores of 30-20, 30-17,
and 31-29. After playing 12 of their first 13 matches on the road,
the Lady Eagles got off to a good start by winning the first of their
next seven matches being played on their home court. With the win
the Lady Eagles evened their overall record at 7-7. The next match
for the Lady Eagles will be a South Region contest against Wesley
College which they will host on Saturday September 30 at 6:00.
Women's Volleyball Team Defeats
Spelman
College (9/28)
The Toccoa Falls College Volleyball team defeated
Spelman
College by the scores of 30-20, 30-25, and 30-28 this past Tuesday
night. The Lady Eagles have now won two matches in a row and will

Volleyball Team Splits Pair of Matches

The Toccoa Falls College Volleyball team split a pair of matches
over the weekend at a tri-match that involved
NAIA opponent Southern
Wesleyan University and NCAA Div. II opponent North Greenville
University. In their first match they lost to
SWU by the scores of
19-30, 20-30, and 17-30. In their second match the Lady Eagles
rebounded to defeat NGU by the scores of 30-25, 16-30, 30-25, and 30-21.
The overall record for the Lady Eagles now stands at 5-7. They
will travel to NCAA Div. II
Spelman College for their next match on
Tuesday September 26 at 6:00.
Men's Soccer Team Defeats Piedmont
Baptist (9/25)
The Toccoa Falls College Men's Soccer team defeated South Region
opponent Piedmont Baptist by the score of 4-0. It was the second
shutout recorded by the Eagles on the season. Andrew Wiese led the
scoring for the Eagles with two goals with Jason Shaffer and Kyle
Germaine scoring the other two. With the win the Eagles are now
4-1 in the South Region and 6-4-1 overall. The Eagles will host
Piedmont Baptist this Tuesday September 26 at 5:00.
Women's Soccer Team Splits Pair of Region

The Toccoa Falls College Women's Soccer team split a pair of
South Region games this past weekend. In their first contest they
played Clearwater Christian College and won by the score of 3-0.
The Lady Eagles were up 1-0 at halftime thanks to a goal by Amy Embry.
In the second half they were able to add two more goals, both scored by
Jessica Khoury. On Saturday the Lady Eagles faced Southeastern
University and fell by the score of 0-1. The Lady Eagles are now
2-1 in the South Region and 6-4 overall. They will travel to play
Southern Wesleyan University on Tuesday September 26 at 7:00.
Women's Volleyball Team Loses to Shorter
College (9/22)
The Toccoa Falls Women's Volleyball team lost to
NAIA opponent
Shorter College by the scores of 15-30, 15-30, and 25-30. The
overall record of the volleyball team is now 4-6 and they will travel to
Southern Wesleyan University for a tri-match on Saturday September 23 at
11:00 and 1:00. The other team that the Lady Eagles will face at
the match will be North Greenville University.
Men's Soccer Team Loses to Piedmont
College (9/22)
The Toccoa Falls College Men's Soccer team was defeated by
NCAA
III opponent Piedmont College by the score of 7-2. Piedmont scored
two quick goals and then Jake Warren was able to pull the Eagles within
one with his first goal of the night. Piedmont then scored two
more goals to make the score 4-1. Warren then put in his second
goal of the match. Piedmont was then able to put in three more
goals before the contest ended. The Eagles are now 5-4-1 overall
and will travel to Piedmont Baptist on Saturday September 23 at 1:00 for
another South Region match.
Men's Soccer Team Defeats Johnson Bible
(9/19)
The Toccoa Falls College Men's Soccer team defeated Johnson
Bible for the second time this season by the score of 4-1. The
Eagles were led in scoring by Andrew Wiese with two goals followed by
David Eckman and Jake Warren with one goal each. Paul Mallalieu,
Eckman, and Warren had one assist each. The Eagles overall record
now stands at 5-3-1. In their next match they will host a very
strong NCAA Div. III opponent in Piedmont College. This game will
be Thursday September 21 at 7:00.
Men's and Women's Soccer Teams Defeat
Rival Atlanta Christian College (9/15)
Women:
The Toccoa Falls College Women's Soccer team
defeated South Region rival Atlanta Christian College by the score of
3-0. Atlanta scored first in the contest but then the Lady Eagles
were able to score three unanswered goals all by Amy Embry. The
Lady Eagles are currently undefeated in region play with two big region
matches on the horizon. They will host Clearwater Christian
College on Friday September 22 at 5:00 and then Southeastern University
on Saturday September 23 at 11:00. The Lady Eagles are now 5-3
overall on the season.
Men: The Toccoa Falls College Men's Soccer team had a big win against rival Atlanta Christian College by scoring a shutout 7-0. Leading the scoring for the Eagles was Jason Shaffer with two. Also scoring goals for the Eagles were Jake Warren and Andrew Wiese. Scoring their first goals of the season were Chris Croyle, Joel Dixon, and Paul Mallalieu. Wiese also had three assists for the match. The Eagles play again on Monday September 18 at 4:00 when they host Johnson Bible College. The Eagles are 3-1 in the region and 4-3-1 overall.
Women's Soccer Team Loses to Tennessee
Wesleyan College (9/13)
The Toccoa Falls College Women's Soccer team lost to a very good
NAIA opponent in Tennessee Wesleyan College by the score of 1-10.
Tennessee Wesleyan was a very quick and very skilled soccer team and the
Lady Eagles struggled to match up with them the entire game. The
only goal for the Lady Eagles was scored by Jessica
Khoury. They
will try to get back on track when they travel to face South Region
rival Atlanta Christian on Thursday September 14 at 3:15.
Volleyball Team Competes in North South
Shootout (9/12)
The Toccoa Falls College Volleyball team competed in the North
South Shootout this past weekend held at Southeastern University.
The Lady Eagles went 2-3 in their five matches of the shootout.
They opened up with a loss to Southeastern University by the scores of
25-30, 11-30, and 18-30. They won their next two matches against
Trinity Baptist 30-8, 30-17, and 30-11; and Florida Christian 30-18,
30-19, and 30-15. Their final pool play match was against
Clearwater Christian which defeated the Lady Eagles 10-30, 11-30, and
19-30. Their two wins, however, were enough to get them into the
Championship round where they faced Southeastern for the second time and
again came up on the losing end 16-30, 12-30, and 21-30. The Lady
Eagles will play their next match at Brenau University on Thursday
September 14 at 6:00. The Lady Eagles are now 1-3 in the region
and 2-4 overall.
Women's Soccer Team Loses to Lagrange
College (9/11)
The Toccoa Falls College Women's Soccer team lost a hard fought
match to Lagrange College 1-0 in the final round of the Piedmont
Classic. With 15 minutes to go in the match the Lady Eagles were
called for a handball in the box and Lagrange was awarded a penalty kick
which they capitalized on. This broke a four game win streak for
the Lady Eagles. They will try to start another one on Tuesday
September 12 at 3:00 when they host NAIA opponent Tennessee Wesleyan
College. The Lady Eagles are now 4-3 overall on the season.
Men's Soccer Team Defeats Southeastern
University (9/11)
The Toccoa Falls College Men's Soccer team got their second
region win of the season by defeating Southeastern University 2-1.
The Eagles were down 1-0 at halftime but were able to tie the game in
the second half on the first goal of the season by David
Eckman.
Eckman's goal was a header off of a corner kick by Andrew Wiese. A
few minutes later a goal by Jake Warren sealed the victory for the
Eagles. They are now 2-1 in region play and 3-3-1 overall.
The Eagles travel to region rival Atlanta Christian College for their
next match on Thursday September 14 at 5:30.
Men's Soccer Team Loses to Clearwater
Christian College (9/8)
The Toccoa Falls College Men's Soccer team lost to South Region
opponent Clearwater Christian College 1-5. This evens the men's
region record at 1-1. Clearwater scored a goal in the first two
minutes of the game to go up 1-0. The Eagles found themselves down
2-0 before Andrew Wiese was able put in their only goal of the game.
The Eagles will try to bounce back Saturday at 1:00 when they host
another South Region opponent Southeastern University. The Eagles
overall record now stands at 2-3-1.
Women's Soccer Team Upsets Piedmont
College (9/8)
The Toccoa Falls College Women's Soccer team defeated
NCAA Div.
III opponent Piedmont College 3-2 in overtime in the first round of
their Classic. This was the first time in the history of the
women's program that they defeated Piedmont College. The Lady
Lions scored first then Mel Miner tied the game with her first goal of
the match. Jessica Khoury scored the goal to put the Lady Eagles
ahead 2-1. Piedmont scored their second goal with eight minutes
remaining to tie the game at 2-2. Then in overtime Miner scored
her second goal to give the Lady Eagles the win. They will play
Lagrange College on Saturday at 2:00. The Lady Eagles will be
trying to win their fifth game in a row. Their overall record in
now 4-1.
Men's Soccer Falls to Southern Wesleyan
University (9/6)
The Toccoa Falls College Men's Soccer team lost to
NAIA opponent
Southern Wesleyan University by the score of 0-3.
SWU scored in
the in the eighth minute of the match and then the Eagles were able to
hold them at the bay until the 81st minute when
SWU was able to score
their second goal. The final goal came in the 86th minute.
The Eagles will be back at home when they face South Region opponent
Clearwater Christian College on Friday September 8 at 7:30 and then will
play Southeastern University at home on Saturday September 9 at 1:00.
Women's Volleyball Loses Season Opener

The Toccoa Falls College Volleyball team lost their season
opener to NCAA Div. III opponent Piedmont College. The Lady Eagles
lost in three straight games by the scores 14-30, 13-30, and 20-30.
The Lady Eagles will be back in action this weekend as they compete in
the North/South Shootout against South Region opponents at Southeastern
University in Lakeland, FL. The opponents they face in the
shootout will be Southeastern University, Florida Christian College,
Trinity Baptist College, and Clearwater Christian College. The
teams will then be seeded for extended tournament play.
Men's and Women's Soccer Teams Notch Two
Wins Each Over Weekend (9/4)
Women's Soccer:
The Toccoa Falls Women's Soccer
team had wins over Kentucky Christian University (8-0) and Tennessee
Temple University (9-0). Leading the scoring for the Lady Eagles
in their shutout of KCU was Amy Embry with four goals and one assist.
The other Lady Eagles that scored a goal were Jessica
Khoury,
Arri
Hotalen, Stephanie
Buice, and Mel Miner. Miner and Megan
Pasquariello each added an assist. In their shutout with South
Region Opponent TTU, Embry again led the scoring with three goals, her
second hat trick of the season. Also scoring goals for the Lady
Eagles were Pasquariello,
Khoury, Ashley Jordan, and Katie Caldwell.
The remaining two goals were "own-goals" knocked in by
TTU players.
The Lady Eagles are 3-1 overall and 1-0 in the South Region. Their
next two games will be this weekend as they participate in the Piedmont
College Invitational. They will play Piedmont College September 8
at 5:00 and Lagrange College September 9 at 2:00.
Men's Soccer: The Toccoa Falls Men's Soccer team had wins over Johnson Bible College (3-1) and Tennessee Temple University (5-1) this past weekend. After trailing 0-1 to Johnson Bible, the Eagles scored three unanswered goals to take the victory. Jason Shaffer led the scoring with two goals and Andrew Wiese contributed one. Jake Warren had an assist for the Eagles. The score was actually not as close as it appeared with the Eagles out shooting their opponent 30-4. In their win over South Region opponent TTU, Warren led the scoring with two goals. The remaining three goals were scored by Shaffer, Wiese, and Kyle Germaine (first of his career). Wiese also contributed three assists and Spencer Regier one. The Eagles now have a record of 2-1-1 overall and 1-0 in the South Region. They will play again Tuesday September 5 at Southern Wesleyan University at 7:00.
Cross Country Team Competes in Connie
Maxwell Invitational (9/4)
The Toccoa Falls College Men's and Women's Cross Country teams
competed in the Connie Maxwell Invitational in Greenwood, SC this past
weekend. It was the first sanctioned event of the season for the
two teams and they faired well with the men placing fifth and the women
eighth out of twelve teams. Leading the way for the men was Aaron
White with a time of 29:22. The women were led by Maggie Taylor
with a time of 24:16. Both teams will be running again this
Saturday September 9 at the Eye Opener Invitational in Spartanburg, SC.
Men's Soccer Team Ties Tennessee Wesleyan
(8/29)
The Toccoa Falls Men's Soccer team tied
NAIA opponent Tennessee
Wesleyan College by the score of 2-2. After playing a scoreless
first half both teams scored early in the second half. Less than
three minutes into the half Andrew had a nice shot deflect off the post
and Jake Warren was there to put it back into the net and give the
Eagles the lead at 1-0. Tennessee Wesleyan responded with a goal
of their own less than two minutes later to even the score at 1-1.
Jason Shaffer scored the next the goal to put the Eagles up 2-1.
The Eagles fought hard the remainder of the game before finally
surrendering goal to the Bulldogs to even the score at 2-2. The
Eagles will be going on the road for their next two games when they
travel to Johnson Bible for a game Friday night September 1 at 7:00 and
then to South Region opponent Tennessee Temple on Saturday at 3:00.
Women's Soccer Team Defeats Johnson Bible

The Toccoa Falls Women's Soccer team defeated Johnson Bible by
the score of 5-1. The Lady Eagles scored first on a goal by
Michelle Mallalieu. Johnson then tied the game a few minutes later
at 1-1. The Lady Eagles then scored four unanswered goals with
Jessica Khoury scoring three of them. Amy Embry scored a beautiful
goal on a header that came on a cross from
Khoury. With the win
the Lady Eagles even their record at 1-1. Their next game will be
at home on Friday September 1 when they will play another
NCCAA opponent
Kentucky Christian at 7:00. They will travel to South Region
opponent Tennessee Temple on Saturday September 2 at 1:00.
Men's Soccer Team Loses Season Opener
(8/26)
The Toccoa Falls Men's Soccer team traveled to
NAIA opponent
Covenant College to open up their season and ended up losing 2-4.
The Eagles were down 1-0 at the half and then went down 2-0 early in the
second half. At this point they were able to mount a comeback and
tied the score 2-2. The goals were scored by sophomore Jake Warren
and freshman Mark Epperson. Covenant then scored the final two
goals of the game. The Eagles will play their home opener on
Tuesday August 29 against another NAIA opponent Tennessee Wesleyan at
6:00.
Women's Soccer Loses Home Opener (8/25)
The Toccoa Falls Women's Soccer team played a good game despite
losing to NAIA opponent
Montreat College 2-5. After spotting
Montreat a 3-0 lead the Lady Eagles were able to play with the Cavaliers
the rest of the way. Scoring the first goal of the season for the
Lady Eagles was Amy Embry. Embry assisted on the second goal that
was scored by freshman Jessica Khoury. The Lady Eagles will be
back in action on Monday August 28 as they host
NCCAA rival Johnson
Bible at 4:00.
Toccoa Falls Men's Basketball Program
Announces Four Signings (6/16)
The Eagles Basketball Program is pleased to announced the first
four of what is hoped to be seven or eight signings for the 2006-2007
season. The coaching staff is very excited about the first four to
commit, they are very strong athletically and academically.
Carl Jean-Bart: Henry County High School, Point Guard
Carl is from McDonough, GA and averaged 10 points and 6 assists a
game as well as 2 steals a game his senior year. Carl is extremely
quick, handles the ball well, and sees the court well. The Eagles
are looking for Carl to step in and back up returning point guard Paul
Mallalieu.
Cody Clevenger: East Hill Christian
School, Shooting Guard
Cody is from Pensacola, FL and averaged 17 points, 5 rebounds, 4
assists, and 2 steals his senior season. Cody was the team's MVP
his junior and senior years as well as All Area Honorable Mention.
He was also named Pensacola New Journal Player of the Week in
January. Cody was involved in his school's Beta Club and Student
Leadership Institute which mentored the eighth graders. Cody is
one of two shooting guards the Eagles are adding and he is expected to
give them much needed depth at that position.(signing

Will Douberly: Ware County Magnet
School, Shooting Guard
Will is from Waycross, GA and averaged 10 points, 3.2 assists, and
1.6 steals his senior season. Will is extremely quick and has
tremendous range on his jump shot. With his ball handling skills,
he could also spend some time at the point guard position if

Carter Deems: Oxford College of Emory
University, Strong Forward
Carter is from Cartersville, GA and played the last two season at
Oxford College of Emory where he started in half the games his sophomore
season. In high school, he was a four year starter at Excel
Christian Academy and averaged 10 points, 5 rebounds, and 7 assists his
senior season. Carter will give the Eagles depth at the strong
forward position. One of Carter's strengths is how well he sees
the floor in the post and can hit the open man on the three point line
or slashing to the basket.
Lady Eagles Announce the Signing of
Michaela Estill (5/15)
The Toccoa Falls Women's Basketball program is pleased to
announce the signing of 5'10' forward Michaela Estill. Michaela
was a four year starter at Grace Baptist Academy of Chattanooga, TN
where she was considered a defensive standout and a key to her teams
success. She has earned All-District and All-Region honors as well
as as MVP of the District Tournament. Coach Paul

"We feel that Miss Estill will come to Toccoa Falls and contribute
those same skills to our program. We are very happy that she chose

Lady Eagles Announce the Signing of
Stephanie Buice (5/15)
The Toccoa Falls Women's Basketball program is happy to announce
the signing of 5'7" guard Stephanie
Buice.
Buice played high
school basketball for Cherokee High School in Canton, GA. She
averaged 18 points and 5 assists in her senior season. Upon
graduating she signed a scholarship to play basketball for
NCAA
Div. II South Atlantic Conference
memeber Mars Hill College.
Although she had limited playing time her freshman year, she gained some
valuable experience. Coach Shiffer states, "We think that she
has a good outside shooting touch to go along with very adequate ball
handling skills. We feel fortunate to sign a player of Stephanie's
caliber and look forward to her arrival."
Lady Eagles announce the signing of Anna
Bailey
Toccoa Falls College Women's basketball coach Paul
Shiffer is
proud to announce the signing of Anna Bailey to a Letter of Intent.
Bailey will be playing for the Lady Eagles in the 2006-2007 season.
Bailey is a 5-foot-8 guard out of Hall County, Ga. who was a four year
letter winner at Chestatee High School. Bailey averaged 17 points, 3.4
rebounds, and 3 assists per game for the Lady War Eagles of
Chestatee.
Bailey set the school scoring record of 772 points playing in the tough
AAA region against opponents such as Johnson High and Gainesville High
School.
Anna Bailey is the second incoming freshman signed by the Lady Eagles,
joining Bonnie McGee. Coach Shiffer believes that this is a great
beginning to the recruiting class for the 2006-2007 basketball season.

Bonnie McGee
Toccoa Falls College Women's basketball coach Paul
Shiffer is
excited to announce the signing of Bonnie McGee to a Letter of Intent,
McGee will begin her college career playing for
TFC in the 06-07
basketball season. McGee is a 5-foot-9 forward out of Chatham County,
Ga. McGee played varsity basketball for Calvary Baptist Day School in
Savannah, which ended their season 15-12. McGee averaged 12 points and 4
rebounds per game for the Lady Cav's.
Bonnie is the second McGee to attend Toccoa Falls, following her brother
Luke McGee, who played center for the men's basketball program. McGee is
the first player to sign with the Lady Eagles for the 2006-2007
basketball season.
