Visit FAQ
1. When are campus tours?
During the summer months campus tours will be given at 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. and are approximately one hour in length. If you would like just a campus tour of the college, please feel free to drop by at one of these times and we will gladly give you a tour!
2. When visiting, can I attend a class or visit with a professor or coach?
Yes - we are happy to make those arrangements for you and your family! We do need to know your request in advance so we can make the necessary arrangements with the professors and coaches.
3. Can I stay overnight in the dorms while I visit?
Absolutely! The overnight visit program at TFC is designed to help high school juniors and seniors experience college life a little more fully than a day visit alone can provide. We invite you to stay on campus one night and two days free of charge, including meals in our dining hall. You are welcome to visit TFC during the summer and times when school is not in session; however, housing cannot always be guaranteed.
4. Can I stay more than one night in the dorm?
Generally, we believe most visitors will be able to have a great overview of the college with one overnight stay and two days on campus; however, we also understand that due to the distance, a second night may be needed. In the event a second night's stay is necessary, you can pay $10.00 to the Resident Director of the dorm you are staying in.
5. Who are the Student Ambassadors?
Student Ambassadors are current Toccoa Falls College students who are excited to show you college life. They serve as your tour guide during the campus tour and will host you during your overnight visits.
6. What should I bring for my overnight stay in the dorms?
Please bring a sleeping bag, pillow, towel, and Bible, as well as any toiletry items you may need. Whether you decide to stay overnight or come just for the day, you might want to bring along your camera to show your friends and family pictures from your experiences and, of course, the beautiful Toccoa Falls!
7. Where can my parents/family stay while we visit?
The Toccoa area has several
housing accommodations for families while they visit.
8. What is the Forrest Guest House? Can my family stay there overnight?
The Forrest Guest House is a four-bedroom home on campus which is designed to accommodate visitors to the campus. Because it is an alternative to a hotel stay, common hotel courtesy is appreciated. If available, parents of prospective students are welcome to stay in Forrest Guest House free of charge for one night and two days, as long as arrangements are made through the Office of Admissions. Accommodations are limited and reservations are required - the earlier the better. If an additional night stay is necessary, you can pay $35.00-$45.00 based on available rooms. Debbie and Jim Dixon, the Forrest Guest House hosts, should receive payment at check-out, if applicable. The Guest House provides linens and a complimentary light breakfast consisting of muffins and coffee. The Guest House check-in time is 4:00 p.m. and check-out time is 11:00 a.m.
9. Where do we need to go in order to begin our visit?
Your visit will begin at the Office of Admissions in Earl Hall. When you arrive to campus, there will be a guard shack and speed bumps. You will pass the guard shack and drive approximately 1/4 mile where there is a stop sign. Take the road on the right; it will take you into the center of campus. At the very end of the road on the right is a brick building; this is Earl Hall and the Office of Admissions. Visitor parking should be available on the right near Earl Hall.
10. Do you have directions to get to campus?
We have prepared a
map with directions to the campus to assist you in your travel.
