Spiritual Life

Students at Toccoa Falls College experience a spiritual formation enviroment that is intentionally designed to encourage their spiritual growth. The love of Jesus Christ compels us to interact with each other, our community, and our world to ensure that the message of Christ's love continues to impact people's lives.

Not only does involvement in ministry make a difference today, it serves as training for the student's career and ministry.  TFC acts as the training ground for Christian service where aspiring leaders can learn in a supportive environment, surrounded by those committed to their success.  Through the activities listed below, every student has the opportunity to establish the needed foundation in Christ in order to become an effective servant in God's kingdom.

Chapel

Chapel services are held Monday through Thursday mornings and provide the primary setting for corporate worship that builds our community in Christ while allowing the Spirit an opportunity to minister to the individual. Chapel messages are given by college administration, faculty, staff, local ministers, and nationally known pastors and teachers. Special series throughout the year include the Missionary Lecture Series, Spiritual Emphasis Week, Leadership Week, World Outreach Conference and the Faith and Life Series.

Barnabas Groups

Barnabas Groups are spiritiual formation groups that meet weekly to provide a meaningful level of accountability, support, and encouragement through close relationships between faculty/staff and students in a small group setting.

Student Ministry

Student Ministry is organized as a practical extension of classroom learning. Each semester TFC students participate in vital ministries on campus, in local churches, with service organizations, and around the world.

Prayer Coordinators

Prayer coordinators are student leaders who work together with resident assistants on each floor to facilitate hall devotions, times for prayer and mutual ministry in the dorm setting.

Student Missions Fellowship

SMF is a student organization that meets on Wednesday evening to promote missions work and to inform students how the Lord is working in other cultures.

Days of Prayer

Days of Prayer are held in conjunction with Spiritual Emphasis Weekand World Outreach Conference. These days are set aside each semester to allow for a time of renewal and intercession. The campus community has opportunity to gather for united prayer efforts.

Class

Many professors choose to begin class by praying for individual students and others in the college community. Professors also work hard to integrate faith and learning throughout the educational experience.

Music Teams

Talented students at TFC use their abilities to impact people’s lives through music. From classical ensembles to contemporary worship groups, students are active in making music to minister to various groups of people on and off campus. This includes chapel muic teams and traveling ministry teams.

Cross-cultural/inner city Missions Trips

Each year, members of the student body use fall, winter, spring, and summer breaks to travel to cross-cultural or inner city setting to minister to people. Trips are also organized to provide disaster relief, both in the US and in other parts of the world.

Campus Church

Though students have many options for local church attendance and ministry, TFC facilitates Campus Community Church located in Grace Chapel. The campus church is active in community outreach through the Light Zone Youth Ministry and Pond Street Bread Ministry.

Urban Ministry

Each year, many students participate in urban ministry groups that meet the needs in urban areas such as soup kitchens, homeless shelters, crisis pregnancy centers and much more.

Our goals at Toccoa Falls College is to build a Spiritual Formation community that will provide an atmosphere that is conductive to spiritual growth. Through corporate worship, personal devotion, small group support, mentored accountability, and practical ministry, students recieve a wide variety of spiritual equipping and encouragement. God uses this enviroment to change lives!
