Summer Work
Certain jobs, around 30, are available for student employment over the summer. The maximum allocation for student summer employment is usually $3,500 to be paid for full-time work of 37.5 hours per week for 11 to 14 weeks, depending on the pay. If a student works a minimum of 420 hours during the summer student employment program they will receive a bonus of $250 at the end of August. The summer work program is separate from student employment during the academic year, therefore, work-study eligibility is not a factor for summer work. All student positions in summer pay $6.65/hour the first year, $7.15/hour the second year in the same position, and $7.65/hour the third year or above in the same position.
